The Grunge Style of the 90's

The Grunge Style of the 90's

The grunge style is about body hugging dresses, maxi skirts, graphic tanks, lumberjack shirts, cropped tees and super skinny jeans. Layers over layers are always welcomed as well as flannels wrapped around the waist. Free People brought back to us the smell of the 90's and proved that one can always make a statement by wearing distressed jeans, a leather jacket, tomboy graphics and finish this look with chunky biker boots.

This looks absolutely nothing like the looks of the 90s. Grunge girls would not be caught dead in these outfits. While the styling on this shoot is great for the hipsters of today who think they know style like nobody else, to call it 'grunge' is absolutely insulting to those who actually wore it.

Definitely great modern renditions of the style; the only difference between the looks then and now would be the fit. '90s style was on the baggier side but this is cuter anyway.

Love that first look! I will also never get tired of florals, bare legs and chunky boots.
